Technically speaking, the Multimedia Learning Center
(MMLC) is an instructional technology center in the Weinberg College
of Arts and Sciences.. but what does
"instructional technology
center" really mean?...
Well, for starters,
we run one of the best student computer
labs on campus, and we're always looking for talented people to help
keep it up and running. (After hours network game playing optional!
;-) ) So, if you love computers, especially
Macs, you'll fit right in!
We are a multimedia development group, authoring
numerous
websites throughout the university (and the world), developing real
web applications and eager
to bring you onto our development team as
an artist, a Java coder, or "web-monkey."
We film original works, like documentaries, and foreign-language
learning videos, and have an
advanced online AVID editing studio of
our very own.
We maintain and check out
materials from an extensive
library of audio tapes, video tapes, and videodiscs used in humanities
courses at Northwestern. We always need "organized" people
to help keep things together.
We work a lot with people, some of the greatest minds
at Northwestern. (Also some of the most
intellectually confusing. )
We are all friends and often go out of our way for one
another. Some might say that we're a very "tight" group. We
have parties and cookouts. And, well, we love
it here. It's definitely
"better than
working"
Just when you thought a job in the MMLC
couldn't get
any better, there's more. This year, we're totally refurbishing the
MMLC space in Kresge
Hall. New carpeting, new furniture, practically
new everything -- making it a pretty fresh place to work.
Applying for a super-fun job in the MMLC couldn't be
any easier, just follow the link below to the online application, fill
out some personal info... and then when
you're just getting settled
in we'll call you in and show you around... there's no risk in applying...
just opportunity... the worst that could ever happen is that you'd just
decide not to work here (sigh!). OK, enough
already...
