The MMLC has made a videorecording of the 2008 performance of "An Evening of Russian Opera" available on Northwestern's YouTube portal. This annual presentation of operatic works provides students of Professor Emeritus Irwin Weil with a window into Russian folklore, through the writings of Pushkin that have been adapted into song by both Mussorgsky and Tchaikovsky.
Several members of the MMLC staff worked to produce and record the event. Editing and postproduction efforts were led by the MMLC's own Cecile-Anne Sison.
Special thanks go to University Chaplain Timothy Stevens for his continued support of the program and for providing access to the high-fidelity audio recording equipment housed in Allice Millar Chapel.
