Getting the word out about DiLL
Amid the warm humid weather of Atlanta, Georgia, Zachary Schneirov
and Matthew Taylor presented DiLL, the MMLC’s digital language lab software
last week while attending the semi-annual conference of IALLT, taking place
at Georgia State University. Supporting the presentation with first-hand testimony were David Shultz, Jon Beals, who are director and assistant director of the Grand Valley State University Language Resource Center, and Allison Weiss, coordinator of the World Language Laboratory at the University of Chicago Lab Schools.
The IALLT presentation was the third public presentation of the software
this calendar year, after the annual conference of the National Association
of Independent Schools (NAIS) in February, and then a series of Apple Tech
Updates presentations in three New England states in late April.
Often called the “DiLL guys” or “DiLL dudes” while on tour, Zach and Matt
share their enthusiasm for software development and the simplicity and
ease-of-use towards which they strive via engaging and entertaining
presentations that incorporate live demonstrations, use-case anecdotes, and
