Much to do with Canvas
Faculty pilot testers will share their experiences using the popular Blackboard alternative Wednesday, October 30, in the MMLC.
Not everyone loves Northwestern's current course management system. This fall, the MMLC is assisting NUIT to investigate newer alternatives including the widely-acclaimed Canvas from Instructure.
Come learn more about the future of online learning tools as four Weinberg faculty currently using the system will lead an informal demonstration and discussion:
Franziska Lys (German)
James O'Laughlin (English)
Andy Rivers (Physics)
Katrin Voelkner (German)
Wednesday, October 30, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Kresge Centennial Hall, Room 1-315

New iPad Resource Site Launches
The MMLC has launched a new iPad resource site for faculty hoping to learn more about incorporating iPads in language and literature classes. Aiming to both inform and inspire, the site presents case studies, and usage recommendations that draw from a two-year investigation of iPads across a wide variety of language courses.
